How do you approach people to take their photograph. I'm always afraid of people becoming offended.

SBG: Trust you to use the "purr fect" joke :) Post some pics of your kitten when you get it. And we missed you at the meetup tonight.

Chris: Most people in Bahrain are quite comfortable with having their pics taken and don't take offence (unlike other places in the world that I've been to). I just ask them nicely and they don't seem to mind at all. But because I don't really want them to get self-conscious I'll find a subject nearby and take a photo of that (like the cat). And then I'll step back and take a photo that includes the real subject (old man). After I've taken the pic I show it to them (on the lcd screen) to make sure they're okay with it. Good luck, hope to see some of your pics soon!
