SBG: Trust you to use the "purr fect" joke :) Post some pics of your kitten when you get it. And we missed you at the meetup tonight.
Chris: Most people in Bahrain are quite comfortable with having their pics taken and don't take offence (unlike other places in the world that I've been to). I just ask them nicely and they don't seem to mind at all. But because I don't really want them to get self-conscious I'll find a subject nearby and take a photo of that (like the cat). And then I'll step back and take a photo that includes the real subject (old man). After I've taken the pic I show it to them (on the lcd screen) to make sure they're okay with it. Good luck, hope to see some of your pics soon!
Chan'ad is a fish that inhabits the shores of Bahrain. When he isn't dodging hungry fishermen, he likes to swim around and keep an eye on happenings on the island and nearby.

You've captured a nice moment. You should take more photos like these, Chan'ad. You have artistic potential.

Nice pics
How do you approach people to take their photograph. I'm always afraid of people becoming offended.
Do you give them a copy of the photo?
