Eid Mubarak!

Friday, November 12, 2004

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has, once again, defied all known astronomical data and research by declaring Eid ul-Fitr for tomorrow. But who cares. Eid Mubarak to all of you out there! (and go easy on the baklava tomorrow)

-------

Update: Please consider heading over to Bu Lahab's place to drop him an Eid greeting. He seems to need it more than some of us in Bahrain!

Eid Mubarak Chan'ad!

Eid Mubarak everyone and many happy returns,

As for me, it'll be another day fasting. Eid is on Sunday for me and da familia. Cant wait for the festivities. Chan'ad if u get the chance go and see some of the traditional festivities old-style in Sanabis, Tubli or Duraz. I think Duraz is the best. They've been preparing for a long time now. Involves everything from donkey races to merry-go-rounds and free food all round.

Thanks Bahrania. I will definitely do my best to check out the festivities and maybe put up a post too.

Make the most of your last day of fasting, and may you have a joy-filled eid!
